Volunteer

Volunteers keep us rolling.

If you’re a current member, you can earn driving credits by volunteering as a car captain. Car captains are assigned a car to wash every two weeks.

You can also volunteer on our snow crew to earn driving credits. Snow crew volunteers are assigned a car near them to clear the car and dig it out of the snow after big snowfalls. Snow crew is activated when there is a winter weather advisory. You can always sign up, and if you’re not available during a snowstorm, that’s not a problem.

If you’re not a member of Ithaca Carshare, we could use volunteers to help us distribute brochures at TCAT bus stops and other organizations around town, and help us promote Ithaca Carshare by tabling at events. We’ll provide more details on this page soon.
